Closing the Deal

A successful negotiation is a win-win situation. A good sales person knows what it takes to sal the deal.

- Make Concessions: A buyer who isn't willing to make concessions isn't bargaining in good faith. But don't offer too much, too soon, or you'll appear to be dealing from a position of weakness.

- Sweeten the offer: A larger earnest money deposit, quick closing, and a preapprived mortgage are all part of a good offer- even if it isn't the highest offer.

HOW WELL DO YOU LISTEN?

There's no point in asking clients a lot of questions if you aren't going to listen to their responses. The average person remembers only 25 percent of what is heard. To assess your listening skills, take this quickie listening quiz. The more statements you can answer "yes," the closer you are to being a great listener.
