More than that 41 percent of the 300 U.S. real estate investment trusts (REITs) are actively pursuing energy efficiency and green building upgrades. What's more, another 27 percent plan to do so, according to an analysis by Progressive Investor, a monthly newsletter that guides investors and advisers toward sustainable investments.

The Mortgage Bankers Association has developed a new resource: one-page mortgage-industry fact sheets for each state and the District of Columbia.

 

Developed for MBA's recent National Policy Conference, the fact sheets contain state-specific information as compared to the U.S. total for the following items:

 

·         Homeownership rates

·         Loan volume, dollar volumeandaverage loan amountfor allsingle-family loans,FHA-insured,VA-guaranteedandRural Housing loans

·         Single-family primeandsubprime originations

·         Foreclosure rates

·         Unemployment rates
